I obtained a BA Information Science degree at Stellenbosch University in 2002 and thereafter completed a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) qualification at the International English School.
After almost seven years of working in various fields I realised that my love for languages and education wasn’t disappearing and that in every position I’ve filled, language kept finding its way back to me. In 2010 I decided to pursue my passion again and went back to Stellenbosch University to complete my Postgraduate Diploma in Translation. Since then I have completed various freelance translation, editing and proofreading projects. My clients have found me to be honest, punctual and hardworking.
In 2011 I started as a part-time teacher at the Unit for Afrikaans and English at the Stellebosch University Language Centre. After teaching for three years, I became a mother and spent the bigger part of 2014 at home with my son. My current main focus is a tutoring service I offer from home where I assist students from Grade 1 – 7 with their homework and help them feel confident about their work. I specialise in Afrikaans and English.
